Majestic Quatchi Jan 11, 2010
By A. Kline I've spent my whole life searching for the majestic Sasquatch. I've travelled to every major forest in the world on a quest for Quatchi and even ventured to the Himalayas in search of the Yeti, cousin to the Sasquatch. The last place I ever thought I would find this creature is in the Amazon.
I was in British Columbia in September of 2009 when I first spotted Quatchi. It was only a brief encounter and I was unable to track or photograph him, but I was left spellbound. I did find a Quatchi keychain at a souvenir store to commemorate this amazing sighting.
Imagine my surprise when on Christmas morning I heard a rustle coming from under the tree. Upon closer inspection I noticed that one of the presents was moving and had muffled creature noises coming from it. The box was wrapped in sock monkey wrapping paper with air holes poked in it. I gave it a shake and the creature noises got louder. It kind of sounded like "raaagghhhh, raaaagghhhhh" like a friendly roar that was trying to tell me something. But what was it saying?
I consulted my Quatchish to English dictionary and found that it translated to "open the box dummy!" Without a second thought I tore through the paper and tape, opened the box and out popped the cutest little Quatchi the world had ever seen. He was all set for the drizzly, cold Pacific Northwest weather with his earmuffs and hiking boots. He leapt into my arms and gave me a big Quatchi hug.
After a few minutes he started saying "Twig! Twig! Twig!" I ran outside and broke a twig off a tree. When I came back in the door he ran and jumped up onto my arm and started devouring the twig. He is quite a voracious eater! He also likes moss, pinecones, cookies and champagne.
I would highly recommend this Quatchi.

My first pet Feb 13, 2010
By World Traveler 65 I have always wanted a pet. Ever since I was young I have been swinging between dogs and cats but the rest of my family is allergic to them. Finally when I decided I wanted a pet mouse my Mom and Dad said that I wasn't mature enough.
When I saw the Quatchi I showed the amazon page to my parents and I asked for them to but it for me. They thought it was a stuffed animal, but I knew otherwise. When he arrived at my doorstep I began shouting "MY FIRST PET IS HERE! MY FIRST PET IS HERE! MY FIRST PET IS HERE! MY FIRST PET IS HERE!" My parents thought I was playing make believe until they heard a growl. I opened the box and my very own Quatchi jump out on to the ground.
He started rolling around on the carpet and sniffing the drapes. He must have been hungry from his trip from the depths of Canada because he was soon saying "Twig! Twig! Twig!". I brought him some twigs from my tree in the backyard but soon had to get him a whole branch.
Mom and Dad weren't pleased with my purchase and grounded me for tricking them. My Quatchi was put back in the amazon box and was going to sent back in the morning. However, a burglar tried to break into the house and steal stuff and Quatchi saved the day! My parents threw away the return box after that.
A Quatchi doesn't come with an instruction manual so I had to do some searching till I found the best care taking ideas and products for him. A dog owner said a dog is more work than he is and wishes that he had my Quatchi instead of his Golden Lab. My Quatchi gets along great with my younger sister (age 5) and never eats my moms plant furns. He is a great cuddly pet that I recommend to anyone who wants a pet.
